How Does Tire Storage Work?
EXISTING CUSTOMERS
Once you have decided when you are available for your tire changeover appointment and confirmed the date & time with your shop of choice, log into your Tipton’s account and “Request Tires” to be dropped off at the tire shop. We request 72 hours or more notice to drop your tires with our loyal community partners & pick up your alternate set ASAP (typically within 24 hours). We take all the dirty work off your hands! Just a reminder: we will pick up anywhere in Gallatin county. Just let us know where & when your appointment is, and we’ll take care of the rest. Your tires are safe with us!
NEW CUSTOMERS
To our new customers: THANK YOU for choosing Tipton’s! You are in good hands. Please speak to your tire shop associate to coordinate your tire pickup with our team. If you are visiting our website for the first time & haven’t changed out your tires yet, you can simply click to “SIGN UP” with our services and choose which option works best for you. Then, when you have your tires removed for your seasonal changeover, you can leave them at the tire shop and we will come pick them up ASAP. We will store them safely in our warehouse until you request tires for the next season. Please remember to give our team 72 hours notice before you need your tires dropped off. Where Do My Tires Go?
We store your tires (and wheels if you have them) in our secured warehouse in Bozeman. Our warehouse has cameras and is very secure. We don’t allow customers to our warehouses for safety precautions
How Many Days Notice For Pickup/Delivery of My Tires?
We need at least 2 business days notice to deliver during the regular swap seasons (dates below).
We need 3 business days notice to deliver during the off-season.

- Winter: October 1 – November 30
- Summer: April 1 – May 31
Can You Pick Up Tires From My House?
We can! Let us know your address and a 3 hour window when you’re available for us to come by.
Can You Store My Oversized Tires?
Yes, we can! Please send us an email at [email protected] so we can understand your needs better and how we can best serve you
Do You Store Wheels?
Yes, we store mounted assemblies at no additional cost. Our pricing includes up to 4 mounted tires.
If the wheels are separate (not installed), they will be charged separately. Lugnuts are stored for free if they are attached to the wheels.
What Happens If My Tires Are Lost or Damaged?
If we lose them, we replace them. You have our word!
If we damage them, we repair them or replace them. No questions asked!
How do I change my billings address or payment method?
Please visit our client portal to change any personal information, including address, payment method or your subscription.
What If I Don't Want My Tires Anymore?
Tires worn down? Got a new set? We can help you out. We will dispose of your tires for $25 per set! Please send us an email at [email protected] for assistance.
How Many Seasons Does My Plan Go?
All of our payment plan options are charged on a monthly basis and we will continue to store your tires until service is cancelled. Our month to month storage plans require a 4 month minimum storage period.

Do I need to be home for pickup?
No—as long as we can access your tires. You can leave them in a garage, porch, storage closet, or with your apartment manager. We can also pick them up directly from any tire shop after your service appointment.
How fast can you pick up my tires?
We offer same-day pickup whenever possible and guaranteed pickup within 24 hours during high season (fall & spring).
Can I store multiple sets of tires?
Yes! Perfect for families and fleets. We offer multi-set and fleet discounts — just reach out for a custom quote.
Do you clean my tires?
Yes — we wipe down debris during intake and offer enhanced cleaning options for salt, brake dust, and winter road chemicals.
What payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and ACH. We do not accept Klarna, Affirm, or other “buy now pay later” financing.
How do I schedule delivery for my tire swap?
Just call/text us or request them online with the “request tires” link. Tell us the shop and time of your appointment—we’ll deliver your tires before the install.
Can you deliver my tires to the tire shop?
Absolutely. We work with Les Schwab, Pomp’s, Big O, Costco, Firestone, Walmart, Tire Rama, Ressler Motors, Gallatin Import Group, Kendall Ford, Eagle Tire and First Tracks Big Sky.
I live in a dorm. Can you pick up my tires?
Yes — it’s one of our most common requests. We pick up from any dorm loading zone or apartment complex.
Can my parents set up tire storage for me?
Yes—parents often manage the subscription and we coordinate directly with you or your tire shop for pickup date & time.
Can you deliver to campus apartments?
Yes! Stadium View, Arrow, Copper Ridge, University Square, 19th & Graf, The Annex—anywhere students live.
Do you pick up and deliver in Big Sky?
Yes—full service for Meadow Village, Mountain Village, Moonlight Basin, Spanish Peaks, and private roads.
What if I’m not in town when my tires need to be changed?
No problem—we coordinate directly with your property manager or local shop and handle everything remotely.
Do you store tires for rental homes or seasonal properties?
Yes—we store tires for local property managers and vacation-home owners.
